Immerse yourself in the world of beekeeping!
Discover the world of black bees and the beekeeping profession.
Ticket valid for 1 person aged 16 and over.
Park admission is included in these prices.

Important information :

The "Beekeeper for a Day" activity is a "weather dependent" activity. Also, it is possible to postpone the activity 24 hours before the day.

The reception service will be your contact person to keep you informed and to reschedule the activity as soon as possible if necessary.

Payment is only made on the day of your arrival at the park's ticket offices.

Valid from April 1st to October 15th, 2025 :

Outside school holidays: Wednesdays & weekends

During school holidays: 7 days a week

Opening hours: 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Meet at the park reception at 2:00 p.m. at the latest)

Rates :

€80 for a person from 16 years old.

Maximum number of people per afternoon: 4

Mandatory clothing to bring: Long-sleeved clothing, cap and boots (whatever the weather of the day) 

Program :

- 2:30 pm - Welcome of participants (15 min)

- 2:45 pm - Introduction to bees (30 min)

Slideshow in the honey house:

• Hive organization and the role of bees

• Importance of bees and honey plants

- 3:15 pm - Discovery of the hives (45 min)

In the field:

• Explanation of the different tools

• Observation of an open hive

- 16:00 - Honey extraction/Extraction simulation (30 min)

In the honey house:

• Demonstration of the extraction process

• Watching a video when extraction is not possible

- 4:30 pm - DIY workshop: Honey planter (20 min)

Creation of a personalized planter:

• Customization (painting, decoration, etc.)

• Planting of honey plants

- 4:50 pm – Games (30 min)

Fun group workshop:

• Blind tasting: recognize different types of honey (chestnut, acacia, lavender, etc.)

• True or False about bees: short quiz to test knowledge (via Kahoot if network available)

• Board game if kids?

- 5:20 pm - Closing and handing over of the planters (10 min)

• Q&A

• Distribution of a booklet on bees and/or a ZooParc Beekeeper's diploma

• Planter shed

- 5:30 pm - End of the workshop

Everything is done to ensure that the Beekeeper for a Day half-day is carried out safely and that you have only good memories of your visit. The equipment is adapted and you will be reminded of clear and detailed instructions at the beginning of the service. Any failure to comply with these instructions and in particular any endangerment of animals or participants may be subject to a permanent exclusion without refund.
